Detailing Root Causes of Firestone Tire Failures

WHAT

Press conference to release report detailing root causes of Firestone tire failures on Ford Explorers and to call for measures to ensure no similar disasters occur in the future. The report is based on the physical examination and photographing of more than 100 Firestone tires obtained from consumers in the U.S. and abroad —  including both tires that failed and tires that did not — X-rays of tires, an examination of Ford and Firestone documents, and independent laboratory tests.
